Andrea Long is the chief program officer at The Up Center. She resides in Suffolk. She holds a M.A. in Psychology, a M.Ed. in Educational Psychology and is a licensed clinical social worker. As the Chief Program Officer, Ms. Long’s responsibilities at The Up Center include developing programs, counseling and strengthening families, and empowering people in crisis. She is also an adjunct professor of psychology at Tidewater Community College. One of her best kindergarten memories involves a costume contest in which her cousin dressed her as a Raggedy Ann doll, complete with bright red circles on her cheeks…and she WON the contest!
Her hope is that Minus 9 to 5 will “speak boldly to address the challenges and needs of our Hampton Roads parents-resulting in a collective and shared sense of accountability to support ALL children. Little ones are counting on US to think big!”
