Dr. Kerry Sullivan Ragno, Dean of Languages, Mathematics and Sciences, Tidewater Community College, is a Virginia Beach resident. She has a B.A. in Child Development, M.A. in Early Childhood Education and an Ed.D. in Education Leadership. She has years of experience as a professor of early child development. She is also a peer reviewer for Early Childhood Associate Degree Accreditation. Her favorite children’s book is Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, by J. Viorst. She fondly remembers making her own lunch as a kindergartener and walking herself to school (her mom walked on the opposite side of the street).
Her vision for Minus 9 to 5:
“Through the bottom-up, collaborative approach of this collective impact initiative, organizations can develop lasting strategies to coordinate access to quality educational, health and other critical services for children and families.”
