Our Staff

Roshawnda Johnson is a Program Engagement Assistant at Minus 9 to 5 and has over 22 years of experience in the field of education in elementary and middle schools.  She has taught grades prekindergarten, kindergarten, first grade and second grade.  Roshawnda has also worked as a library media assistant and reading/math support for grades 3-5.  She later became a Family Engagement Specialist, which allowed her to combine her love of education and community outreach.  Before coming to Minus 9 to 5, Roshawnda worked as a Student Enrichment Coordinator as a support for students, teachers, and families.  Roshawnda obtained her bachelor’s degree in Communicative Sciences and Disorders with a concentration in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology from Hampton University. She later obtained her Master’s degree in Strategic Communication from Regent University.  Roshawnda truly believes that it takes the school, community, and family working together to ensure the success of a child.  She believes that all children can succeed with team work.
